UNIT Crane/Shovel Info

    Hello I was wondering if anybody had any info on Unit cranes. Im building a 1/12th scale model of a 1020A Unit crane and was hoping that somebody on here might have one and would be willing to share information and pictures about Unit machines in general. Im looking for old pictures of Unit cranes, parts books, manuals, brochures or anything of that nature. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    can''t help with the Unit stuff, however i did make, from scratch, a model dragline that is hand  crank powered and actually digs dirt. It is a scale model of a Northwest 95 WT dragline, with a miniature Page dragline bucket. Boom is about 9 feet long and it whole machine weighs about 400 lbs. It is mostly to accurate scale,  (8.5 : 1 ) except where necessary  to "leave scale"to make some part or piece of metal i had laying around work on it! I think it is pretty cool and it actually looks like a miniature Model 95, that fits in a mini van! 

    Perhaps i can help with other aspects of your build, or at least offer encouragement. Dave 920-210-2875

    Unit crane's were built in Bay city mi. at one time, in fact, they were built in the same old building that the Bay city shovel was built after it's closing. and so was little giant crane's.
       aFTER bAY CITY SHOVEL'S CLOSING, THEY MOVED TO aUGRAY'S MI., AND STILL OPERATE UNDER bAY CITY SHOVEL. STILL HOLD bAY CITY PART'S, BLUE PRINT'S, AND OPERATING MANUAL'S.
