Wanted: Cable Backhoe

A couple years ago, right before COVID hit, I started searching for a cable backhoe to purchase as my father and I have always wanted one.  I searched quite a bit and made several posts in forums/groups, and came up with a few leads, but not many.  COVID intervened and I put my search on hiatus for a while.  I am again actively seeking something to purchase, ideally a small to medium sized machine, no more than 50,000 lbs. and 10'6" wide, but a bit smaller than that wouldn't be a bad thing.  Please reply or send me a message if you know of anything.  I am located near St. Louis, MO.

    Hi Matthew,

I know where the truck and crane body is for one, but the backhoe attachment itself is missing.  If you find someone with the backhoe attachment, you should be able to pick up the truck and crane body pretty reasonably.

You can check out my ad here for pictures.

Not sure what the intended use here is, or whether this fills your need, but we have a 1957 International tandem backhoe truck in Alberta, Canada.  Needs lots of work, but before he passed away recently, my dad had been trying to get it to someone who will appreciate it, since up here, all we have for interest is from scrap collectors.

Miranda, hopefully you see this message...I hadn't thought to check here for awhile.  I'd like to find a decent one to restore and maintain as a historic piece, take it to shows, operate it for fun, etc.  I had explored the possibility of getting one from Alberta before, but I think importation into the US is a bit of an issue for something that old due to emissions regulations.  Not entirely impossible, but difficult.
