Laplant choate scraper

    Hi, I'm looking for information on my C44 laplant choate scraper. Serial number tag reads C40-65. It looks like it was possibly a red orange color originally but I'm not sure. It was repainted yellow many times. I'd also like find out what year it is roughly. I'm guessing early 40s
